Maybach Exelero car :

A one-off custom-built Maybach was unveiled in May 2005 at the Tempodrom in Berlin. Commissioned by tyre company Fulda, the Exelero is a chopped-down two-seater coupe, though it's more than just a show car - in tests at the Nardo high-speed oval, the prototype reached a speed of 218.38mph, despite weighing over 2.66 tonnes. It is capable of acceleration from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds.

The project, based on the Maybach 57 limousine, required a certain amount of re-engineering; the A-pillar and doors had to be shifted rearwards, and the steering column, pedals and gearshift all re-located. The standard 550bhp V12 engine was bored out to 5.9 litres, and tuned for 700bhp and over 738lb ft of torque. With final dimensions of 5890mm long, 2140mm wide and just 1390mm high, the car was kitted out with a full-spec interior, including leather, neoprene, aluminium and carbonfibre finishes.

Mersedes F700 Concept car:

Mercedes' F700 Concept is an interesting look at how fuel efficiency will impact this auto show season. Sure, lots of companies are bringing out small little hybrids, plug-ins and other gas-sipping concepts, but Mercedes thinks there's also a market for affluent greenies. The F700 isn't a hybrid, though — it uses a super-efficient four-cylinder engine with a prototype powertrain that moves like a V-6 but gets a dreamy 44.3 mpg.

Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Concept:

Alfa Romeo will build a 500-unit run of the beautiful 8C Competizione show car and use it to spearhead the marque's reentry to the U.S. in 2008. Its engine is based on Maserati's 4.2-liter V-8, but uses Alfa-designed cylinder heads and gets an increase in capacity to 4.7 liters. It drives 20-inch rear wheels through a six-speed rear-mounted gearbox. The bodywork is mostly carbon fiber.

Concept Masirati

The Maserati A8 GCS Berlinetta Touring is a design study by Italian coachbuilder Carrozzeria Touring Superleggera which made its debut at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este over the weekend.

Inspired by Pininfarina’s A6 GCS Berlinetta of the 1950s, the A8 GCS Berlinetta boasts a modern interpretation with retro-styling cues as evident by the old school rims found on the concept car. While production possibilities are minimal, expect it to be ultra exclusive and available in very limited numbers if it happens to get the unlikely production green-light.

Concept HYUNDAI i30

There's one real easy way to tell whether the car model you're looking at online is available in the U.S. or European market. If you see these words: "a choice of three gasoline and three diesel engines, combined with manual or automatic transmission," you can bet it's not American. That's the case with Hyundai's new i30, the first Hyundai to fall under the company's new vehicle nomenclature (more details on that on Tuesday). The i30 will be available throughout Europe this summer as a 5-door hatchback.
On another stand at the Hyundai boo
th will be the HED 4, a concept Crossover Utility Vehicle (CUV). The technologies explored with this concept are lightweight plastic composites in place of metal and glass. Hyundai worked on the HED 4 with GE Plastics. Full press release on these two vehicles is you know where.
