Maybach Exelero car :

A one-off custom-built Maybach was unveiled in May 2005 at the Tempodrom in Berlin. Commissioned by tyre company Fulda, the Exelero is a chopped-down two-seater coupe, though it's more than just a show car - in tests at the Nardo high-speed oval, the prototype reached a speed of 218.38mph, despite weighing over 2.66 tonnes. It is capable of acceleration from 0-60mph in 4.4 seconds.

The project, based on the Maybach 57 limousine, required a certain amount of re-engineering; the A-pillar and doors had to be shifted rearwards, and the steering column, pedals and gearshift all re-located. The standard 550bhp V12 engine was bored out to 5.9 litres, and tuned for 700bhp and over 738lb ft of torque. With final dimensions of 5890mm long, 2140mm wide and just 1390mm high, the car was kitted out with a full-spec interior, including leather, neoprene, aluminium and carbonfibre finishes.

Mersedes F700 Concept car:

Mercedes' F700 Concept is an interesting look at how fuel efficiency will impact this auto show season. Sure, lots of companies are bringing out small little hybrids, plug-ins and other gas-sipping concepts, but Mercedes thinks there's also a market for affluent greenies. The F700 isn't a hybrid, though — it uses a super-efficient four-cylinder engine with a prototype powertrain that moves like a V-6 but gets a dreamy 44.3 mpg.

Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione Concept:

Alfa Romeo will build a 500-unit run of the beautiful 8C Competizione show car and use it to spearhead the marque's reentry to the U.S. in 2008. Its engine is based on Maserati's 4.2-liter V-8, but uses Alfa-designed cylinder heads and gets an increase in capacity to 4.7 liters. It drives 20-inch rear wheels through a six-speed rear-mounted gearbox. The bodywork is mostly carbon fiber.

Concept HYUNDAI i30

There's one real easy way to tell whether the car model you're looking at online is available in the U.S. or European market. If you see these words: "a choice of three gasoline and three diesel engines, combined with manual or automatic transmission," you can bet it's not American. That's the case with Hyundai's new i30, the first Hyundai to fall under the company's new vehicle nomenclature (more details on that on Tuesday). The i30 will be available throughout Europe this summer as a 5-door hatchback.
On another stand at the Hyundai boo

will be available with at least two Suzuki-developed engines: A 2.4-liter four cylinder for the entry-level Kizashi and a V6 displacing around 3.6 liters for the up-level model. The Kizashi is making its way through the development cycle at the littlest Japanese automaker that couldn't, but an excited Australian importer got a little loose with his words, revealing the engine lineup, along with some additional information about the new Suzuki sedan.

In addition to engines, we get a peek into Suzuki's hybrid and hydrogen fuel cell programs, closely tied to GM technology. It sounds like they'll be adapting GM designs to their more-compact platform and looking to develop new six-speed transmissions in the process.

PEUGEUT 4002 Concept

It's a good idea had been firmly launching a design competition. First it is talking about itself, then it draws the sympathy of budding designers or those who are less, and generally, this is a dream everyone.

There is the idea, and the car is impressive, not only by its size. Peugeot does not scale, but on the Peugeot stand at Frankfurt, the 4002 is higher and wider than the 407 cut Elixir. Another notable difference is that where the Elixir seems to be a real car, in a state of rolling, the 4002 is a model without an engine or transmission. And if Peugeot gives in his press kit photo of the car in motion, because they know how to use software for editing images in Peugeot

Concept Maserati Birdcage

The Maserati Birdcage 75th was a concept car created by automobile manufacturer Mazerati and designed by Jason Castriota under the guides of Ken Okuyama at Pininfarina.

The Birdcage 75th, in homage to the spirit of the dream car era, is based on the road racing chassis of the Maserati MC12 and seeks to capture the ultimate expression of speed, sensuality and elegance – to create a functional and dynamic automotive sculpture. The contrast struck between its organic fluidity and the severe tension of its mechanicals, creates a dynamism seldom realized. The clear goal of breaking away from traditional styling solutions and creating a coherent and unique visual experience, led to a particularly innovative integration of the exterior and interior design and construction. Rather than pen the exterior in a traditional manner, and thereafter by consequence approach the design of the interior, the Birdcage 75th was designed as an integrated singular object.

X-BOW Concept car

The X-Bow concept is the first car ever built by KTM, Europe’s second-largest motorcycle maker.

KTM teamed up with Audi to develop the 2.0-liter direct-injection turbocharged 4-cylinder engine which produces 220 bhp. A high-output version of 300 bhp is contemplated. The X-Bow is also equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while a Dual Shift Gate (DSG) sequential-shift gearbox that features clutchless operation may be offered later as an option.
The X-Bow is expected to be blindingly fast. The factory estimates 0-60 mph acceleration of less than 4 seconds. This light weight allows KTM to dispense with such features as power steering; the lack of a windshield means no wipers and the elemental nature of the vehicle itself eliminates the need for electronic driving aids
